Nelson Cruz snapped two MLB postseason series records, RBIs and homeruns, as he led the Rangers back to the World Series. With six homers and 13 RBIs, there wasnt a question which player would be hoisting the ALCS MVP trophy at the end of Saturday night’s Game 6 victory. Of Cruz’s 8 hits, only two werent out of the park, yet were doubles. Cruz shattered 4 different records in this series against the Tigers, including becoming the Ranger’s postseason homerun leader. “When the team needed me, I delivered,” Cruz said. “It was amazing.” Don’t think for a second that this is a one time thing: a year ago he also slapped 6 homers in the postseason, but this time Cruz hopes for a different World Series outcome.
